10 Quotes about Mental Health and how Pinterest can be helpful.

10 Quotes … sounds like Buzzfeed. While I was ‘resting’ due to burnout, closer to the truth would be ‘not being able to do anything but my mind wanted to be occupied‘, I spent a lot of time on Pinterest. It soothed me. I found nice color schemes, photographs and quotes.

Creating boards made me able to gather my thoughts. I focused on what felt nice to me. Slowly the bigger picture emerged. It wasn’t too stressful, it wasn’t difficult and above all, it was quiet.

Through art, photographs and written words I found some of the beauty of the world. I found an initial connection with that what I found beautiful. With these tiny steps I became human again. I felt something and ‘knew’ what was beautiful to me and what was not. If I could make that small choice, there must be hope.

  1. Oh wow. You have hit on one of my biggest “hobbies”. Lying in bed, on my phone either blogging, reading, Facebook, and on and on. I’m too tired/unmotivated to do anything physical. I have no interest in cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. I end up spending hours on my phone. I have a funny meme I made about it somewhere….
